Belief it or not

Belief it or NOT!

Limiting beliefs are your personal, general beliefs about the world, your environment and your situation, and the people around you that you perceive as standing in your way.   Newsflash! These beliefs will hold you back from success. Why and how so?  Simply because if you do not believe something is possible, you are not likely to attempt it or if you do attempt it, you won’t devote much energy to achieving it.

The great news is that once you become aware of and overcome limiting beliefs, they can no longer hold you back. And by shattering your limiting beliefs, you may light the way for others to do the same.

Want to make some extra cash?

The $1200 stimulus might pay a few of your bills, but for most of us, we will still be sorely short of cash if we are temporarily furloughed from our day job or our small business is closed or suffering.

While you are waiting for the call to return to work, or for clients or customers to return, why not do one or more side hustles to bring in some money NOW?

(whispered) and the password is . .

[Guest post by Michael A. Babiarz — copyright 2016]

On those few occasions when I was violently ill enough for my mother to allow me to miss school, I chose daytime game shows over soap operas for my TV viewing, as I nestled under a blanket on the living room sofa. I can’t enjoy lemon-lime soda either; Mom thought flat versions of this drink settled a grade schooler’s grumpy tummy. [Read more…]

Five Ways to Tell if You are Charging the Right Amount for Your Services

Money tree made of dollar bills and with trunk made of golden coins

As a service entrepreneur, you need to determine the correct fees to charge your clients. This calculation is trickier than it may appear. Although to be successful, you must look to ways to leverage time, minutes and hours often remain as the most significant component of your “inventory.” And unlike the local hardware store that can simply order more faucet washers when supplies run low, there is only so much time you can sell. Therefore, maximizing revenue from that time, achieved by matching rates to a desired number of clients, is key. Here are five ways to help determine the right amount to charge for your services.

Seven ways to become a crabby broke-ass — part two

[For part one of this article, see the blog post for Monday, December 8.]

Your sole goal is to reach into their wallets (figuratively or digitally please!); not to truly provide value or a service. Your objective is to get those rubes to part with their dollars. That’s what you believe capitalism at its core speaks to you. Dollar signs are where it’s at. If you fix this belief firmly in your mind, it may help you trundle along the path towards the welfare line. [Read more…]
