Annabolic Times-July, 2012 Make Sure the Only Dimples You Have are on Your Face

Okay, I knew I’d get your attention with the headline. But seriously, how much better would your life be if you added exercise to your daily equation?

If you said a great deal, you are correct! Exercise benefits your body, mind, and spirit! It’s not just about shrinking your booty to a smaller size, it’s about improving your health, re-connecting with your spirit and expanding your brain function!

Here is the deal:  If you want to change your life, exercise for a minimum of 20 minutes per day.   That doesn’t sound like much of a time commitment to totally transform your life, does it?  But if you want to bring more enjoyment and satisfaction into your life, moving your derrier off the chair is a non-negotiable item on your daily task list.
Why?  The biochemical boost that your body releases during exercise is like a momentum fuel!
According to Dr. John Ratey of Harvard Medical School, a simple 20 minute workout at your target heart rate unleashes what he calls “Miracle-Gro for the brain.”  Not only does exercise clear your mind, but it increases the speed of processing, stimulates the growth of memory cells, and primes your brain for its best learning for 90 minutes after you work out.  Anything you do in those 90 minutes you will execute with more precision, focus, and speed than ever before.  In a landmark fifteen year long study, Dr. Ratey documented the effects of twenty minutes of exercise at the Naperville, Illinois School System :
Exercise is not an optional activity.  It is truly your secret weapon if you want set yourself up for success by improving your health, your appearance, and your ability to think.
My favorite exercises are the Reboundair, weights & YOGA which I am scheduled to do next.  Bouncing off until next time!
