Exit strategy?

Remember Mad Libs?  You probably played this game with your kids on a car trip.  Or maybe you and your friends amused yourselves with an “adult” version of this pursuit after a few drinks.  If you don’t remember how it goes or, never tried a mad lib, here is how it works.

Write down a word that is of the type indicated on a piece of paper (e.g. “a noun” = grapefruit).  The sillier the word, the better.

For our Mad Lib, here are the words you need to write down:

  1. an adjective
  2. a noun
  3. a noun
  4. a verb
  5. a verb
  6. a noun
  7. a noun

Now, click on the “read more” tab and put the words into the sentence in place of the numbers.

Here’s your Mad Lib:

According to 1: ________________ studies, people’s number one fear is 2: ____________________.  Number two is 3: _________________.  Does that 4: ______________ right? That means to the average person, if you 5 : ______________________ to a funeral, you’re better off in the 6: _________________ than in the 7: _______________.

Here is the original quote:

“According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that seem right? That means to the average person, if you have to go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.” —Jerry Seinfeld

And here is another version of this story, in a 28 second clip:
