Ann & Michael

Santa was tired. He had been delivering toys once a year around the world for, well, a really long time. Nowadays it was getting tougher to do his job. Every December 24th, he’d take off with his sleigh and reindeer.  But they’d have to cruise at low altitudes to avoid all of the radar installations put in place to guard seemingly every square mile of land. Once he arrived at his destinations, he often found that the children’s parents had already ordered toys from one of those online stores that delivered them the next day free. Finally, it was getting harder to sneak down the chimney into someone’s living room, what with all the security systems and cameras and all.

Santa Retired (part 2)

Fun lobster

It was late Christmas Eve. Santa arrived home from working at the mall. Lots of kids came to see him that day as the last minute rush towards Christmas was coming to a close. He was bone-tired. Working double shifts as a mall Santa proved to be harder than being the real one.

As he stepped from his car into the driveway, he was greeted by Ann, his perky blonde neighbor from next-door. Santa didn’t know Ann well. But he got a good feeling whenever he spoke with her. She was upbeat and had a silly sense of humor. Santa liked that.

“I couldn’t find this online, so it’s up to you.”

Santa Retired!

Santa retired and moved to Florida

He tired of the cold, snow and ice

And even though he came as a foreigner

He longed to live his days in paradise

But the HOA did not approve of his reindeer, ’cause their hooves tore up the number 8 tee, repeatedly

And all those tiny elves looked like children themselves which aren’t allowed in a senior community

(Santa says): Merry Christmas to one and to all

I’m staying home with the Misses we’re decking our own hall

Time to have a great New Year but you won’t be seeing me

I sold my sleigh to a museum in Tennessee

Santa kicked back and closed his workshop

He was tired and did not want to carry on

And his once a year overnight delivery package drop Could not compete with prime from Amazon

But he was banned from the pool “cause he broke several rules As he laughed too loudly from them all

And the money got dear as the holidays drew near so he had to get a job at the local mall (Still he says) . . .

Happy Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day we as the country come together to honor and remember our servicemen and women who answered America’s call to service and paid the ultimate price. Memorial Day is the time for Americans as one body to stand up and say, “Thank you. We remember you.  (photo licensed by www.depositphotos.com)

Happy New Year 2019

Happy new year everyone!  Wishes to you for a funomenal 😃 2019.

Life has its peaks and its valleys. Some are more difficult than others.

The experience of being alive provides us with circumstances that bring us to our knees, (YIKES)!  Sometimes life’s circumstances provide us with the opportunity to soar over the moon with joy (AHHH).

The good news is that it doesn’t have to be January 1 for you to make the decision to enjoy every moment and every great thing that you have in your life.   Every day is the first day of the rest of your life.  You can make the decision to embrace your life at any moment and on any day!  It doesn’t need to be January 1st for you to begin again; this is simply a magical pre-defined day when many of us feel that we must tweak our lives.  The reality that we have the power to do this every second of every day.  It only takes the right choice.

What keeps us alive and motivated every day is the pursuit of our goals, dreams and aspirations:

“May your dreams fill your consciousness, heart and soul,

May you never lose the desire to grow and be, do or have more.

May this year be the best year of your life.
May it be the year that you realize that who you are and everything you do really matters.

Thank you for being who you are.
Thank you for your presence in my life.

May 2019 be your year!

Make every second count!”

I’ve made my 2019 resolutions– how about you?
