Annabolic Times-November, 2011 Gratitude is an Attitude

I hope this finds everyone well and anticipating a wonderful holiday season! I want to express my gratitude to each of you for providing me with the opportunity to serve you. I am grateful to be doing what I love and thankful for the role of helping you become your best self and create a life that aligns with your dreams.

As we approach the day for which the entire purpose is expressing gratitude, we often get distracted with cooking, shopping and family issues. Let’s give ourselves the gift of time to set all of those things aside and honor Thanksgiving in its true sense; to connect with and appreciate the abundance in our lives.

Take a moment to reflect upon those elements in your life with which you feel blessed. What inner qualities do you possess that allow you to serve you and others in a positive way?

And now comes the tricky part.  Take a few more moments to focus on those people and situations in your life for which you might feel cursed.

The truth is, we can be grateful for all of the above.  We created it!  The reality is that everything in our lives is in accordance with our own life-progression.  For those things in your life about which you do not feel positive, look for the lesson by asking questions like:

  • What can I learn from this?
  • How have I grown from this?
  • How can I change this?

Instead of waiting until 1/1/2012 to focus on improving your life, resolve to engage in being thankful each day going forward by keeping a gratitude journal.  Write down 10 things that you are thankful for each day.   This will change your life in ways that you cannot even imagine.  Try this for a month and see what happens!

Change your thoughts, change your energy, and change your life! Being aware that we become what we think about, most of the time, is often enough to guide us to a new and better life.  Engaging in a daily practice of gratitude and appreciation keeps us focused on the positive.   What is not to like about that??
